Allis Saga's Large-Scale Single-Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crushers Win the Bid for Chinalco's Simandou Iron Ore Crushing & Processing Project (Rizhao Port)
2025-09-23

Recently, Allis Saga successfully won the bid for Chinalco's Secondary Crusher Package of Simandou Iron Ore Crushing & Processing Project, with an order comprising multiple MH800 large-scale single-cylinder hydraulic cone crushers.

·Project Overview·
Chinalco, a leading enterprise in China's non-ferrous metals industry, has drawn considerable international attention with its Simandou Iron Ore Crushing and Processing Project (Rizhao Port).

Simandou in Guinea is a world-class large-scale high-quality open-pit hematite mine. With the world’s largest reserves and highest quality, it is hailed as the last untapped giant high-grade iron ore deposit. With proven resources of over 2 billion tonnes, an average grade of 66%-67%, and extremely low impurity level, it is a strategic resource fiercely competed for by the international steel industry.

The project consists of two parts: the mining of Simandou Iron Ore in Guinea and the crushing & processing at Rizhao Port in China. Chinalco’s Rizhao Port Crushing Project boasts a total investment exceeding RMB 1 billion and an annual output of 15 million tonnes.
The equipment awarded in this bid will be used for the secondary crushing process of the Rizhao Port Crushing Project to meet the 10-million t/a iron ore crushing and processing capacity requirement:
Feed Size: ≤ 125 mm
Finished Product Size: P100<12 mm, P80<6.3 mm, P72>0.15 mm
Unit Throughput Capacity: ≥ 962 t/h

Currently, the mining industry is transitioning toward "intelligence, large-scale operations, and green development." Chinalco’s project not only requires a 10-million t/a processing capacity but also sets higher standards for equipment energy consumption and environmental performance.
Allis Saga’s MH800 large-scale single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher perfectly aligns with this transformation demand, thanks to its energy-efficient design (only 50% of that of traditional equipment) and low dust emissions enabled by the optimized crushing chamber.
Thanks to its outstanding product performance, Allis Saga stood out from the competition and won the bid successfully. Allis Saga’s equipment will provide strong support for the efficient operation of the Simandou iron ore crushing production line, supporting the project in achieving its expected capacity and benefit goals.

For China, which accounts for half of the world’s steel output but relies on imports for over 80% of its iron ore, the successful development and stable supply from Simandou hold irreplaceable strategic value in safeguarding national mineral resource security, optimizing raw material supply structure, and breaking the supply monopoly of traditional international mining giants.
The establishment of the Simandou Project at a Chinese port also marks a fundamental transformation in China’s role within the global iron ore industrial chain — evolving from a massive "consumer hub" to a dynamic "value creation center" with strong organizational capabilities and innovative vitality.

With over a decade of dedicated focus on the metal mining sector, Allis Saga has built substantial expertise in iron ore crushing and processing technologies, along with a proven track record of deploying large-scale equipment in major iron ore projects, earning widespread recognition from industry giants.
Allis Saga’s success in winning the Simandou project demonstrates the alignment of its technological development with both global industry trends and national strategic priorities. It also serves as strong evidence of the replaceability of domestic equipment for imported counterparts.
Driven by its participation in national strategic projects, Allis Saga remains committed to the business philosophy of "advanced technology, quality excellence, and value-added services." We will continue providing efficient, reliable, intelligent, and eco-friendly crushing and screening equipment for domestic and international markets, empowering China's manufacturing industry to become a core force driving the high-quality development of the global mining industry.
