[Classic Case] Allis Saga’s Complete Set of Crushing and Screening Equipment Operates Efficiently and Stably in a Gold Mine Project in Russia’s Extremely Cold Regions

The Gold Mine Project in Russia’s Extremely Cold Regions

In 2023, Allis Saga designed and delivered a complete set of crushing and screening equipment for a new 200 t/h crushing production line of a project owned by the largest gold mining enterprise in the Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia.

Commissioned in early 2024, the production line has been operating efficiently and stably for over a year to date, demonstrating once again the reliability and stability of Allis Saga’s technologies and equipment under extremely cold conditions.

01. Project Overview

Project Name: Russian Gold Mine Crushing and Screening Project

Project Owner: The largest gold mining enterprise in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia

Project Environment: Extremely cold region (-35℃)

Ore Type: Gold ore

Processing Capacity: 200 t/h

Feed Size: 500 mm

Final Product: P95=10 mm

Equipment Configuration:

Heavy-Duty Apron Feeder BZ1000×6000 *1

Jaw Crusher MJC1208 *1

Cone Crusher MH400 *1

Cone Crusher MHC500i *2

Linear Vibrating Screen LS2460D *2

02. Process Flow

·Primary Crushing Workshop·

Raw materials are conveyed by the Heavy-Duty Apron Feeder BZ1000×6000 to the Jaw Crusher MJC1208 for primary crushing. This configuration is well-suited for frigid permafrost conditions, enabling efficient initial processing of coarse gold ore and laying the foundation for subsequent crushing stages.

  • The Heavy-Duty Apron Feeder BZ1000×6000 has been selected to meet the primary crushing feed requirements, accommodating both the maximum feed size and required throughput.
  • The Jaw Crusher MJC1208 is used for primary crushing, with performance fully meeting all operational requirements.
  • Following primary crushing, the materials are directed to two Linear Screens LS2460D through a distribution hopper for screening.

·Secondary Crushing Workshop·

The materials from primary crushing are screened by the LS2460D Screen. Materials with a particle size of over 40 mm are directed to the MH400 Cone Crusher for secondary crushing, and returned to the LS2460D for closed-circuit screening; materials with a particle size of 10-40 mm are conveyed to the tertiary crushing workshop.

·Tertiary Crushing Workshop·

Materials with a particle size of 10-40 mm are directed to the MHC500i Cone Crusher for tertiary crushing. After this step, the crushed materials are returned to the LS2460D Screen via belt conveyors and ultimately classified into three particle sizes.

Among them, the finished materials with a particle size of 0-10 mm are directly transported to the grinding and mineral processing workshops via belt conveyors for subsequent beneficiation and refining operations.

Two MHC500i Cone Crushers have been selected for the tertiary crushing workshop, featuring a fine crushing chamber that meets the requirement for high throughput:

03.Features & Benefits

❖ Process Features & Equipment Selection

The project adopts a typical three-stage crushing circuit with a closed-loop design. To address the risk of freezing in alpine regions, the following equipment models have been selected:

  • For primary crushing, the Heavy-Duty Apron Feeder BZ1000×6000 is utilized for feeding, paired with Allis Saga’s classic Jaw Crusher MJC1208 for crushing.
  • For secondary crushing, the MH400EC Single-Cylinder Hydraulic Cone Crusher — a flagship product of Allis Saga — has been selected, featuring a large feed opening, high throughput, intelligent operation, and high efficiency.
  • For tertiary crushing, the Multi-Cylinder Cone Crusher MHC500i – an intelligent model from Allis Saga – has been selected, featuring high rotational speed, a large crushing ratio and a high percentage of fine-grained product.
  • For screening, the LS2460D Linear Screen — a model widely used in metal mines — has been selected, featuring a heavy-duty design, and high reliability and screening efficiency.

❖ Special Design for Extreme Cold Operating Conditions

Building on advanced processes and reliable equipment, to ensure the reliable and stable operation of equipment under extremely cold conditions, Allis Saga’s technical team has conducted in-depth research on material selection, heating system, protective measure, and intelligent control. A series of effective technical measures have been implemented to guarantee the efficient and reliable operation of equipment even under ultra-low temperature conditions.

❖ Local Services & Technical Support

Allis Saga has established a local service team and warehousing center in Russia.

  • The service team provides full-process support, monitoring equipment operating data in real time, optimize parameters promptly based on field conditions, and assisting technical personnel in mastering equipment operating principles and procedures.
  • The local warehouse maintains an inventory of key spare parts and consumables, enabling rapid replenishment and more efficient equipment maintenance response.

From technical services to spare parts supply, Allis Saga provides comprehensive support for the stable operation of the production line.

From the initial supply of spare parts and assemblies, to the supply of vibrating feeders in 2023, and now to the design, supply and commissioning of a complete crushing and screening production line, Allis Saga has established a solid cooperative foundation with this client, with the partnership continuing to deepen.

With years of deep-rooted experience in the metal mining and aggregate sectors, Allis Saga possesses a precise understanding of customer needs and pain points. During the project design and implementation process, we consistently take into account customers’ long-term development goals and provide them with cost-effective, efficient solutions that are highly tailored to their actual requirements.
